Mona Lisa

We have seen various representations
of Mona Lisa. This one I found from my
work place's earlier magazines. It caught
my attention because the collage depiction
of Mona Lisa is very interesting and unique.

I found these advertisements very interesting
and eye catching. Look how simple, but strong
are their concepts. Puma is combining the image
and the type together through the use of shoe
strings, which is simple, yet creative. The oil
advertisement is symbolized by using the actual
sunflower instead of a stove. The similar concept
applies to the ketchup advertisement, where the
tomato slices are used to construct the ketchup
bottle. The last advertisement has wonderful
visual imagery, but again, a woman is used as a
sexual object, as it is in most advertisements.

This is a very cost effective advertisement
in Honk Kong for a YOGA school. It shows
the prowess of a yoga practitioner on the
flexible stems of drink straws. It is said
that the enrollment of this Yoga school
went up after this promotional stunt.

This is an ad of FOLGERS coffee placed on top
of manhole cover in New York. The headline is
"Hey, City That Never Sleeps. Wake up." This
ad is very simple, but interesting in the way it is
depicted. Look how the steam is making the ad
more powerful and effective. I think this ad is
impressive, eye catching and perfectly thought.

It is fantastic what the human creative mind can
do. I chose this ad because it is very creative and
powerful. Here is a very creative and eye catching
use of bowling alleys to advertise for dental implant
insurance. Whoever got this idea and made a sudden
leap of imagination was being sooooooooo creative.

Logos

I was thinking of what to blog and decided to go with logo designs.
These logos caught my attention because of its simplicity, use of color
and communicative representation of company. Since, many of us are
more visual and the image says more about the item or the person,
these logos communicate very well image wise. I think they will easily
be separated from bunch of other logos by its attractive and rich design.
Here, we see motion, volume and movement which makes them talk
about their function. Also, the use of red and blue on black background
emphasizes the type and is legible to viewers and everyone.
